Destiny E3 Stage Demo

Bungie is back and ready to take it’s newest game to all major platforms. Here is a first look at the game play of Destiny from E3.

In 2001, Bungie released a game that would forever change the way first person shooters were made; Halo: Combat Evolved. This game would solidify them as one of the biggest  publishers to release first person shooters. At that point they could do no wrong. Since, they have made several more Halo games mostly to rave reviews from critics and a fervent fan base. In 2010 Bungie released their last Microsoft only console game. Quietly they began working on a secret project that would later be revealed as project Destiny.

Since the leak of a small bit of information a couple years ago, not much was known of Destiny, until E3 2013. During the Sony conference (weird right?) Destiny’s first game play footage was shown to the press and the world.

Destiny looks amazing, I think most can agree on this. From the footage shown, Destiny looks to merge the structure of Borderlands with the sci-fi wrappings of a truly Bungie style game. Basically there it’s a dystopian future Earth, a sci-fi wrapper and loot. It’s a “split-gen” (you’re welcome Patrick Klepek) and will be released on PS3, Xbox 360 as well as the new consoles PS4, and Xbox One. Set to release sometime in 2014. I am really looking forward to getting my hand on this one.
