No one likes to be sick. That’s a simple fact. While I can’t cure diseases , I can at the very least, do my part to help raise money for charity. For quite a while I have wanted to do a marathon for charity, and this year, I am finally stepping up, and making it happen.
There is nothing worse than watching someone else suffer with something they have absolutely no control over. Worse than that, is when it’s a child. I have lost several family members and good friends to cancer. It’s a terrible terrible sickness that no one should have to suffer through. If I can do even the smallest little bit to help out, I will.
Every year, the Extra Life charity runs a drive for gamers. 24 hours of games, all proceeds and donations go to the children’s hospital of your choice.
Over the past ten years or so, I have run two podcasts and created a small, but loyal following. Between the 3Smov Radio Show, and Flip Flop Slap Fight, I am hoping that I can raise a modest amount of money for charity. Our goal is $200. It may not seem like much, but it makes a world of difference for someone that may need it.
Over the coming months I will try to keep this site as well as my twitter feed and podcast up to date on what we are planning on doing for the marathon. As it stands right now, it’s myself [Scott], Bill, James, and possibly a few others that are planning to do this. My hope is that we can take over my garage for 24 hours, stock it will drinks, pizza, and a shit-ton of consoles and games and raise a LOT of money.
Our team is on a mission to save kids through video games, and we need your help. Each of us has chosen our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital where thousands of children are treated each year, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.

Thanks so much for even reading this. If you are going to donate, I thank you most sincerely, and hope that you enjoy the big, dumb, fun show we put on. Most of all, as I have said before, like the Wu-Tang… it’s for the children.
