Review: “Monsturd”

I won’t insult any one’s intelligence here, this movie is straight up stupid. In all honesty I am surprised that it didn’t have a Troma stamp on it. Hence why this review will be very brief.

The story goes like this, and I am not making this up at all; Jack Schmidt escapes from prison. He then tries to hide out in the sewer. Unknowingly a crazy scientist has poured some chemical mixture down said sewer. This chemical melts him and combines his DNA with that of the shit in the sewer, thus making him a giant shit man. He then tries to kill everyone. Someone has to stop him, and they do. End of story.

What made me mad about this movie besides the fact that it was really bad, was that it was a total ripoff of Jack Frost. Not the Michale Keaton family movie, the APEX horror movie. Same premise except take out the shit and make it snow. Like seriously almost exactly the same. While I am on the subject of ripoffs, hey why not completely rip off the entire “Mr. Hanky The Christmas Poo” episode of SouthPark while you’re at it.  Also the writer was pretty heavy handed with the shit puns. Having a movie that involves a man made of shit is bad enough, but making every character say “Oh shit” or “Holy shit” EVERY TIME they see him only exacerbates the problem.

This flick is just bad all the way around. Avoid it at all costs unless you really like shitty movies. Dammit! I thought I could finish this review with out a bad pun. Oh well. Fun fact that I learned from the film though; Apparently you can keep over a million flies inside of a simple pet carrier with out fear of them escaping through any of the 20+ holes in all sides of the box. Also a tip to the editor; If you are going to show a clip of a “moon bounce” kids toy deflating, make sure that the people around it aren’t moving. Cause it’s real easy to pick up on the fact you played it in reverse by the simple fact that everyone is moving backwards.
