Spunky The Midget Detective

They say if you can’t write anything new, then just write what you know. Back when we were just a bunch of jerky kids, we used to make a lot of “stylized” videos. This is one of those, and one of my favorites.

Spunky The Midget Detective, much like the vast majority of our stuff, was done with out any type of script or forethought. If I remember correctly, we had all been hanging out most of the day and when it we all settled in at Lucas’ house that night, we decided to make a short film.

This is one of my favorite things we have ever put together. There is some pretty good dialog in here, particularly the exchange between Quinn and James at the bar. The camera angles were fun for us to throw in there. Maybe one day we will make an updated version of this. Maybe one day we’ll find out what actually happened in the case of the diamond theives. Just remember, like Spunky himself says, “Midgets are people too.”
